Describe a Skill That You Can Teach Other People

Introduction

I believe that everyone has some unique skills and talents that they can share with others. Nowadays many people take up various hobbies, do part-time jobs and internships in an effort to increase their experience, gain skills and become more versatile and all-rounder. In the same vein, I will talk about the one skill that I’m completely confident in and can teach to someone.

What is It?

Skills are a very important part of life. One skill I have learned and would like to teach everyone is time management and study planning. This means learning how to organize your work and plan your day when you have a lot of deadlines or you are preparing for an exam like IELTS. Also, it is important to learn for anyone who wants to be more productive and feel less stressed.

How Did You Learn It?

I learned this skill out of necessity when I was in my final year of university and balancing my part-time job and preparing for my final exams. At the start I used to feel completely overwhelmed and helpless and found myself falling behind schedule and felt like I’m not able to manage both. Then I realized that avoiding work is not a solution and this habit needs to be changed and decided to find a solution for this. I motivated myself to learn it by watching videos on youtube, reading articles and books. The important thing is that I make a daily plan and force myself to follow it. To be honest, it was tough in the beginning but as I saw myself meeting my deadlines and my grades also improved, I realized that my stress of jungling in many things also reduced.

How Can You Teach Others This Skill?

Effective time management and study planning is a skill that everyone should learn because nowadays everyone is doing multiple activities and tasks at the same time, so I can teach this skill to everyone. I will start by simplifying the process and show that it is not rocket science, anyone can master this skill and my teaching approach will focus on practical and it can be learned in simple method:

My approach to teaching time management is simple and practical. I start by helping people break down their goals into smaller parts, no matter it’s a work project or preparing for an exam like IELTS. I suggest them to make a task list to set their goals and decide which tasks are urgent and important, and keep some extra time for last minute changes. This will help them manage time and complete all their tasks on time, also help them perform well on projects and score well on exams.

How Do You Feel About This Skill?

Developing a skill that helps me manage my time can make me feel really empowered. Learning this skill is literally the best decision I have ever made. It will not only be beneficial in my studies and career, but also for my mental health. It has reduced my stress about deadlines and brought peace to my life. The idea of teaching this skill and helping others feel more in control and keep up with time is very rewarding and I am very excited to do it.

Conclusion

In conclusion, in my opinion everyone should learn this skill because nowadays we all have a very busy schedule and managing time seems like a task but it’s not so, according to me everyone should learn this skill to be more productive and less stressed in their life.
