UP Police Constable Recruitment 2023 has Been Announced. With almost 1.25 lakh posts lying vacant in the Uttar Pradesh Police Department, the Supreme Court has given an ultimatum to the state to fill all those positions at the earliest. Under the able guidance of the new Chief Minister, Shri Yogi Adityanath, UP is looking forward to recruiting some able police officers across the state in various designations.

As a part of this process, UP Police is expected to recruit around 30000 candidates for the post of Constable across the state. Although the official notification for the same is yet to be released, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is expected to announce these vacancies by the end of August.

Application Process for UP Police Constable Recruitment 2023:

Only online applications shall be accepted for the recruitment process of UP Police. Applicants have to visit the website of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (prpb.gov.in) for the submission of the online application. Details regarding fee payment shall also be available on the website.

UP Police Constable Recruitment 2023 Examination Fees:

Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 200 along with the application form. The fee amount has to be paid online through debit card/credit card/internet banking mode.

Educational Qualification:

The applicant should have passed 10th and 12th standards from a recognized board/institution.

Salary:

Candidates shall be eligible for a salary of Rs 5,200 to 20,200 per month with grade pay of Rs 2,000.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the UP Police Recruitment, 2023 has been modified from the previous year. Earlier, applicants were scored on the basis of their 10th result (maximum 100 marks), the 12th result (maximum 200 marks) and a physical examination (maximum 200 marks). However, the new process states that the following steps shall be followed for recruitment:

  1. Written Examination
  2. Physical Efficiency Test – As a part of the new process, male candidates shall have to complete a run of 4.8 km in 25 minutes and female candidates shall have to complete a run of 2.4 km in 14 minutes.
  3. Medical Test – The applicant shall be expected to get all his vital medical statistics checked through a government registered medical practitioner and be declared medically fit to participate in all activities.
