The most awaited job vacancy Delhi Police Recruitment 2018 is back! The Union Home Ministry has given approval for the recruitment of almost 15,000 constables in Delhi Police.

The recruitment process shall begin once the final approval from the Finance Ministry is received. The Delhi Police Recruitment process is handled by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and they are expected to release the final notification soon.

Important Dates:

The exact dates for the commencement of the application process are yet to be declared. As soon as the approval from the Finance Ministry comes through, the official notification shall be out. The application process is tentatively expected to begin in September and end somewhere around mid-October. We shall publish the exact dates as soon as they are out.

Delhi Police Recruitment 2018 Application Process:

The mode of application for the post of Constable in Delhi Police shall be online. Applicants shall have to apply at http://ssconline.nic.in.  Hard copies of application forms shall not be accepted. The examination fee has to be paid along with the online application.

Delhi Police Recruitment 2018 Examination Fees:

Fees paid in respect of online applications through SBI challan, net banking and any debit and credit card will be accepted. Applicants should note that fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. Although the exact fee structure is awaited, it is expected that the fee payable shall be Rs 100. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from fee payment.

Delhi Police Recruitment 2018 Age Limit:

The age limit for the post of Constable (Male) is 18 – 21 years and for the post of Constable (Female) is 18 – 25 years. However, relaxation is permissible for various reserved categories.

Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board / University at the time of filling the application form. It is also essential for male candidates to possess a valid Driving License for LMV. Learning Driving License is not acceptable.

Delhi Police Recruitment 2018 Salary:

Although the official notification of salary is yet to be announced, it is expected that the salary range shall be from Rs 5,200 to Rs 20,200 with a grade pay of Rs 2,800.

Delhi Police Recruitment 2018 Selection Process:

The selection process for Delhi Police shall comprise the following steps:

  1. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test:

The PE&MT examination shall be conducted by the Delhi Police. As the final notification for this year is yet to be announced, let’s take a glimpse of the expected specifications:

It is mandatory for all applied candidates to undergo the PE&MT examination. Candidates clearing this examination shall proceed to the next stage, which is the Computer-based Written Examination.
